I’m planning a trip through north Portugal and Spain. There isn’t a lot of info on bikepacking or even mtb routes in that area. But I managed to find a few routes. One of them is called [Transcantabrica](https://www.wikiloc.com/mountain-biking-trails/transcantabrica-en-btt-ponferrada-espinosa-de-los-monteros-1801754). It looks fairly challenging. I’m looking for any info. about that route and other route in that region (Asturias, Cantabria) that would be suitable for MTB bikepacking.
If you rode it how steep and gnarly it really is? Post a photo or two.
If you know the region how’s the weather up in the mountains in mid March-April?
Are there refugios, official/unofficial camp grounds?
How easy is it to stealth wild camp?
Is fresh water abundant there?
Any other info that you think would help me?
