Continuing with the re-uploading of my touring videos to my new YouTube channel – ‘Strokes to Spokes – Bicycling Around the World’ I have uploaded my seventh country of the tour: Bangladesh.
Although I didn’t have any video that would show it, within the first 8 hours of checking into my first hotel in Bangladesh I thought I was being kidnapped 3 times. All of this started with three interrogations by the police once I arrived at the hotel, having two police stationed in the room next to me overnight, and a police escort for the entire two weeks of my visa.
My first thought in the morning was to return back to India, but after a breakfast conversation with a guest of the hotel I decided to toughen up and keep moving forward.
During my two weeks of riding Bangladesh became one of my top favorite countries I have ridden through to this day. I’m glad I kept going!
