So, after a lot of back and forth about whether to upgrade my Gravel Grail AL 2021 or just go for a new road bike for that extra speed (since I’ve been hitting the roads more than gravel these days), I finally made a choice. Decided to amp up the crankset from 40T to 46T and switched out the tires for Conti 5000 clinch tires. Now, I’ve got the bike that’s just right for me. Way cheaper than dropping like $4000 on a whole new ride. Sure, it’s not exactly the same, but this upgrade? It’s a game changer for me.

Thats pretty cool. I have been in the same boat, considering buying a road bike because I ride 100% road these days and my dreams of getting to a Gravel trail have not been materialising. I hate the 40t 1by on the road . How are you finding this setup?
