Decided after years of putting it off to do a bike packing trip. Thought I would do Brussels-Ypres-Dunkirk-Antwerp-Rotterdam-Amsterdam. Seemed easy enough but the weather is so bad, torrential rain & a massive, persistent headwind the entire day, that I’m currently on a train back to Brussels with my tail between my legs. Hopefully the weather clears up tomorrow so I can continue up to Antwerp.

Same… I just had two weeks of vacation. I had to cancel my bikepacking trip for the same reasons. I’ll try again in September. Nancy -> Switzerland (forgot the name of the mountain pass I wanted to ride) -> Antwerp.
The weather forecast isn’t better tomorrow in Belgium, they expect heavy winds and lots of rain.
I feel you. We were about to take a two-night shakedown ride to test our new gear before a major ride next month and woke up to heavy rain here in CZ.
