I need a commute bike for about 10 months before I will either have to sell or give away anything I buy. With that in mind, would this be a good bike to buy or not? Would getting a new ~600$ bike be a better move in this scenario? thanks

If the wheels are straight, bearings smooth and gears shifting ok then I think it’s a great bike. Certainly worth a look. I’d love an old steel LeMond.
