Out of the blue the rack’s bungie decided to detach from the hook.
Googling, it seems the hook requires a special set of pliers just to properly crimp and uncrimp the metal band back in place.
Buying the pliers might be more expensive than getting a new bungie for £10
But if the hooks are prone to just… Snapping off like this, then would you guys suggest just getting some different straps or more standard bungie cords to replace Brompton’s naff proprietary ones?

This happened to me and I re-threaded and tied a granny knot in the end. Works fine don’t over think it.
