The idea came from the ideal landscape surrounding the lake of Bracciano and its partner lake Martignano. These two lakes are approximately 45kms from Rome and easily reached by train, making it an excellent Italian Gravel Bike Tour Destination.
Together these two lakes and their woods form the Regional Park of Bracciano and Martignano with a collection of small towns dotted between the two. Single track, cross country and downhill trails make for a exciting mix of cycling.
