I want you to know about this alternative.
I have no affiliation other than being an enthusiastic participant for the second year in a row. With Unbound heading north this year, and this ride/race starting in Americus, KS, which happens to be 10 miles north of Emporia, I would find it hard to believe that the routes won’t cover similar areas and some of the same roads. But that’s speculation.
What I can promise you is a beautiful tour through the Flint Hills north of Emporia, at a fraction of the cost of Unbound, and your money going to a wonderful cause.
I did the 80-ish mile challenge last year and am signed up for the 100+ mile adventure this year. I hope to see many of you out there.
