Hello,

I have decided that I will buy a Canyon Endurace, but I have doubts about the model. The options are:

On one hand, my inclination is to buy the classic one as it would be easier to service, and I also prefer the stem/handlebar combo for a better bike fit. On the other hand, the integrated one looks better and could potentially have a higher resale value in the future.

Finally, I must mention that I plan to change the groupset to Di2 in the near future. Sram AXS is completely ruled out.

  1. I can only say, I went with the 12 speed one and I think it is a wonderful bike.

    You’re right that the stem / handlebar setup is a bit more customizable, but on the other hand the integrated handlebar looks and feels amazing. If the fit is good, it is really really really good.

    The big question is, if you look at the advantages of the 12 speed vs the 11 speed, whether that is worth 500 euro to you. This isn’t really someone else can answer for you. You just need to go through a process that lands you on a decision that makes you feel good about your purchase.

  2. If you are uncertain about the sizing, go for the classic one. It’s so much easier to change stem than the handlebar. Then – take the money saved and buy better wheels.

  3. Honestly, there is very little difference between 11 speed and 12 speed. 12-speed won’t make you go faster or make it easier on the climbs. It’s all down to aesthetic imo.
