I have been looking for this bike for a long time – it’s the exact same year/color/size/and model that I rode back when I first got really into biking as a teenager. I got lucky expanding my facebook marketplace search and happened upon a duded selling it about 6 hours round trip from me (10000% worth it).
I think the only thing that’s really different is the saddle and grips. Every other component is exactly what I remember from back in ’95. Getting back on it is like wearing an old pair of worn-in comfy jeans. It feels so familiar I love it.
Not sure what I’ll do with it yet. Leave as-is and just ride…or maybe get some more comfy swept back handlebars and cruise…or maybe go full weirdo and put some drop bars on it.
The color is as gorgeous as I remember. A really beautiful purple in the sunlight and then almost indigo blue in the shade.

I have the exact same model in that same gorgeous purple! It was my dad’s ride in the 90’s and now I’m loving riding it around campus. I was actually debating new bars as well lol

90’s Cannondales are sweet. Good for restmods. The 80’s ones have weird cable routing
