Took my Marin Four Corners on a loaded ride to my hometown, 80kms away, to have dinner with my mom and headed back the next day.
What I learned:
– one of my panniers sits on my derailleur when I use the bottom rail of my rack (anybody knows of a fix?)
– How to fix a ghost shifting issue
– Maybe it’s a good idea to invest in a confy saddle
– what is a decent pace, abstaining from pushing too hard, no such thing as too much water
I still have to find the right balance, felt like I had a bit too much weight in front, but maybe I just have to get used to the handling and the occasional wobbling. Might be better when I ride with a tent behind also. Planning a 1000km tour along the Saint-Laurent river in Québec, Canada, in 2 weeks.
