New bike, with Shimano HB-MT410 hub up front mounted to FOX36 with QR15 axel. Yesterday I was going to take it out for the first “real ride”, and I noticed the front hub not freely spinning. It seems that when the axel is properly tightened down, it is putting pressure on the end cap and pushing it into the sealed bearing preventing it from rotating. I notice the plastic cap on the hub flexes when I tighten down the QR lever. I removed the brake pads from the caliper to eliminate the possibility of brake rub being the issue.

Is this happening when the bike if under load? Bearings don’t work unloaded. Also, a good shake down run can act as a tune up.
