In this video we explore Paris Suburbs and Travel to the Famous Louvre Museum . This is part 1 of 2 part video covering the famous Louvre Museum in Paris . First we travel from our hotel in Paris suburbs and explore the area on the day before Christmas eve. We travel by Paris Metro to Louvre Museum and Enter through the iconic glass pyramid.

Today we are here with a brand new episode We have booked tickets for the Louvre Museum RER station is just beside our hotel hardly 2 mins walking We will take the Genevilliers Metro route and not the RER route as the metro route will take less time

We have to walk 20 mins to reach the Metro station Today the weather is better and it has not rained yet This is a TRAM station TRAM is more beneficial for the Locals and for the tourist it is more convenient to take Metro or RER which cover popular tourist spots

The streets are decorated for Christmas It is weekend and Saturday today We will walk and go to Asnieries Genevilliers Metro station We will take metro route 13 and travel to Champs Elysees We will then take Metro 1 from Champs Elysees to go to the Louvre Museum It is Drizzling now

There is a church and a big square They have decorated the street lights with bells This is a plaze It is a big open space where people from neighbourhood can come and enjoy There are a lot of Cafes and restaurants here Here is the church

He wanted to click a picture with us. He is a localite and asked us from where we came He assumed we are from capital of India New Delhi This is the church Here is a chocolate shop This is a petrol pump of total energies company Petrol pump also has a car wash

There is a shop named Dubai Maill beside the Auto repair shop This is a small neighbour hood here There are cycle stands everwhere and government promotes renewable modes transporation You can book cycles with Velib app So we have reached the station and it hardly took 15 minutes

So we have to take line 13 metro We will go by the next train We will change trains at Champs Elysees We already had breakfast Lots of self service counters here and during ticket purchase as well Also there are support staffs to provide technical help during ticket purchase from vending machines

Metro was very crowded Metro 1 is a very busy line and it connects to main parts of the city Now we will reach in 2 mins.Just 1 stop We will take the next train which is after 2 mins as we were not sure whether the previous train was the right train or not

So this is the stoppage and exit for the Louvre Museum Its really cold and windy here So finally we have reached Lovre museum We have booked our tickets for 12:30 pm so let us go inside the museum now This is the entry gate

This is only the entrance and we will be able to see the famous Glass pyramid The gates of all buildings are so grand and tall Louvre Museum is one of the most renowned and visited museums in the world This is the largest museum in the world

Initially it was a fortress built by King Philip 2 to protect the city of Paris from outsiders attacks during the 12 th Century During the 16th Century it was renovated to a Grand palace during the reign of King Francis 1

During the French revolution it was transformed into a Public Museum in 1793 Napoleon during his conquest across Europe collected the finest art from Europe and put them in the Louvre Museum Louvre Museum is a symbol of artistic heritage of France and is visited by millions of people every year

We purchased our tickets online There is a lot of queue so it is better to book the tickets online We have booked our slot for 12:30 pm and we will take entry from here This pyramid is the entrance to the museum This is the line for security check in

Louvre Glass pyramid was designed by famous American Architech I M Pei and completed in 1989 The pyramid is made of glass and metal, with a framework of steel cables and aluminum tubes. It consists of 673 glass panes, each uniquely shaped to fit the pyramid’s geometric form.
