They call it the "finishing line" for a reason, because it has a "line".
It's puzzling how many people compare that to the typical premature celebrations. This one was caused by a confusing finish, not by a cocky rider. I feel for the guy who got robbed of a victory.

There was some type of gantry across the road that he must've thought was the finish line. That is very unfortunate…
Probably thought the metal trusses indicated the finishing line.

If you look closely, they went under a gate just before the line.
If Woods doesn't get pushed of the road he wins this easily. Too bad for Johannesen tho, that finish line is hella confusing.
Though every racer should know you don't win til you "cross the line" that banner overhead was very badly placed.
