Looking for help identifying a steel frame I’ve had for a fair while. It used to be my uni commuter, and when I bought it was set up with flat bars and an 80s 2×6 speed Tourney groupset. I’ve bought it out of the garage to restore, does anyone have an idea of what frame it is?
The only marking I can see is under the BB, it reads FV268?4, with the question mark indicating either a space or a letter/number missing due to a chip out of the paint. There are no other markings (e.g. on the dropouts or seat tube) that I can see.
BSA 68mm BB
22.2mm (7/8”) quill stem
26.2mm (1 1/32”) seat tube inner diameter
25.7mm stock seat post diameter
My own measurements, they were done with verniers so may be out by a fraction of a mm or so.
