I plan to buy a Shimano [SH-EX300](https://bike.shimano.com/en-US/product/apparel-accessories/shimano-series-lsg-2023/SH-EX300.html) for commuting.
My foot is 26.5cm long exactly, this is the [size chart](https://i.imgur.com/aRS0S63.jpeg).
Should I be aiming to go for a EU 43 or 44?
If I get to much clearnce the cleat will be to far forward and not enough will feel tight.
Thoughts?

Going up one size is very common for cycling shoes.
I reference EU sizing in shoes of all kinds because I find it more consistent than US sizing. I wear EU 41 in everything else but a 42 in cycling shoes.
go up a size
you do not really walk a lot in cycling shoes
i use sometimes [used shoes] 2-3 sizes up
you go up because your feet may swell in heat, you may need fat socks in winter, and
My foot is 27,5cm long and I always wear EU 43
