Any thoughts on this wheelset? I can pick up a used set locally. The seller is asking $300, can probably negotiate that down. Anyways, it looks like a 2021 DT Swiss M1900 29”. I’m not sure what the hub model is, from a little research some sites said it comes with the 370 hub but I’m not sure.
We bought a karate monkey used and are looking for a cheap wheel setup for my girlfriend’s bike. She doesn’t ride anything super hard, eventually we can get a nice setup but we just need to replace her current wheelset ASAP because the ones that came with bike has a large ding in the wheel and the cones in the hubs are shot. The wheels and the hubs on the bike are some generic unbranded stuff. So anything at this point would be an upgrade. We don’t have a $1000 to spend on a nice wheelset now, so I’ve been looking around trying to find something that would work well enough in the interim.
Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Older 1900 wheelsets have the 3 pawl 370s while the newer all have LN Ratchet. I believe that’s an older version so it’s a couple hundred to upgrade if you ever decide you want the ratchet freehub. 300 is about the top end on this version IMO, they’d have to be virtually new for me to pay that. I’d start low and see where he’d let them go. Under 250 closer to 200 would be a solid buy.
I should add that I’ve ridden 1900 and higher end DT wheels and they’ve all been great.
Great wheelset. I’m not sure what the issue would be unless you’re a super bike nerd. <$300 seems reasonable.
