I’m shopping for a vintage steel bike for myself and I came across this beautiful 80s Fuji America bike in my size for $150. The components are functional per the seller and look fine in the photos – I’ll obviously confirm before I buy. The only major flaw is a small dent on the seat tube (pictured) and some spotty rusting. I can live with the rust, since it’s steel after all, but should this dent in this location be a dealbreaker? The photo also represents the worst of the rusting and paint condition.

Thanks!

  1. its fine but it might stop the seat post being lowered all the way. and its cheap a mint one would be more probably

If it were my bike that dent wouldn’t stop me from riding it. I wouldn’t buy a bike with a dent like that though. You can do better for 150
