Update: I slathered that hole with JB weld, rammed the bearing cup in and promptly ate a pint of icecream as I cried.

Velo Orange used to make a “thread less” square taper BB for damaged/unknown threads. Looks like they don’t anymore, but I think there are others who do.

A Bafang 750watt mid drive doesn’t need the bb threads. 🙂
