Where’s the photo taken?
The new Grail CFR. Zipp 303s wheels with 28mm Continental GP 5000 tires set up tubeless. SRAM Red AXS XPLR 1by setup (42×10 fastest gear).
I just finished the Valley of the Sun stage race completing all three stages on this bike (time trial, road race, and criterium). I did this race last year with all three stages on my Aeroad CF SLX 8.0 eTap.
Overall I finished GC in almost the exact same position (16/45 in CAT 4) but dropped 10 minutes in overall time and improved by about ~20 watts and ~1mph on average throughout the whole weekend.
I’ve always idealized that “one bike to do it all” and I feel like this was finally the bike that checked enough boxes to go for it. No regrets from me and feeling excited that I am now taking this same bike on BWR AZ and BWR CA over the next two months.
