Maiden voyage, beautiful day! Bit windy and the ride back when my legs were spent was almost all “into” the wind… 🙂
I went through all of the sand area’s with no issues, never stopped! That part was AWESOME! BUT, those tires take more effort to move, especially UPHILL! So I did end up having to hike a bike in a few more area’s than I wouldn’t have on other bikes. (course on those bikes I get stopped in the sand!) Gonna try some 27.5×4.0’s. AND, a 28T chainring!! 🙂
Check out my rigged dropper post lever… 🙂 Thought I had another mount. NOPE! (and I forgot to put the side plates back on after running the dopper line)
I could not believe the tires were at 8 PSI. I thought they were going to be like 20+ and thought I’d need to drop the pressure. But just rode them at 8PSI since I’m on the heavy side and riding mixed terrain from hardpack to talcum powder.
Anyway, got some Van Helga tanwall’s and this is my reminder to order a 28T!

Nice ride- how do you like the kick stand?
That’s a damn fine setup. Congrats!
