I live in a ground floor apartment that I moved into recently and have just cleaned my bike now I’m starting to commute again via bike now the weather is improving.

After cleaning I noticed a lot of oil on the patio area in the water used, I don’t have a brush to brush it down the drain currently but is there a good way to prevent this happening or to clean it up afterwards? All previous places had an sold asphalt drive which didn’t mind the oil staining but this is a new build so don’t want to make it worse and cost myself a lot in the future when I move out

  1. Find another spot to clean your bike. If that is not an option: buy a floor wiper, use it to wipe all water and grime away into the drain after rising thoroughly.
