My girlfriend’s bike has 53-39 Ultegra chainrings. Trying to decide if they’re good to go with a new cassette and waxed chain, or if they’ll start wearing out the chain and with that the cassette also. A replacement shouldn’t *cost* too much, but it seems like the only way to replace the chainring on this kind of crank is to take the whole crank off. Which I’d ideally want to avoid. Just getting into the bike mechanic stuff and bottom-bracket stuff scares me.
[Bright side: with my own bike (50-34T SRAM Force 22 chainrings) it seems it’s possible to replace the chainring without taking out the crank, which I hear are super difficult to remove regardless.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpngPQ0KS1Y) Or am I wrong there?

They look ok. But it’s hard to actually figure out visually.
