Am a starting bmx just got this bike. Do a lot of mountain biking so I can already to a bunny hop and 180s and I’m pretty comfortable. Is this bike sufficient?
To get a full breakdown of if its suitable for you and your riding you’ll need to post a full parts breakdown and a description of what you’re wanting to do on it

The Mercado is a sweet frame, nice whip

How much did you pay for it?

Should be fine if you’re just getting into BMX. It could probably handle a 10 stair drop

Well, it depends on how heavy you are & how hard you ride, high tensile steel isn’t as strong as chromoly, but if you’re just performing average tricks & not going off huge jumps you should be fine, it’s by no means a bad bike, I got a 2020 GT Performer Box Palm & it’s the cheapest bike I own, but the one that draws the most attention, oddly, even from a lot of pro riders. Lol
They got a nice pad set on Amazon for it, & they also have Box Palm “Huey” valve caps, but pretty hard to find, Albert’s buddy who makes them & works at Woodward West gave it to me, well technically my son, it’s his bike now. Lol
