I’ve purchased two frames from them, and both have had paint problems. The first I didn’t care so much because it was $250 steel, only drip and it is a good frame. I’ve tried to address this with them and they did offer a refund or replacement, but I knew I’d just end up with a frame with the same issues. Second frame was so nice before I started building it, and paint has started chipping off. Again, they did offer to take it back, but first only tried to apologize. I posted pics and a lengthy review for both frames, and neither one has over 1 posting. I don’t hate their bikes, but they need to acknowledge the problems with whomever is painting their frames.

Go touch some grass. It’s a bicycle, and not even that expensive of one.
I get what you are saying and if you pay good money for a product you want it nice. But still its a bike that is meant to be ridden so it will get dings dents and scratches in the paint. You could try to paint match that small spot to make it less noticeable. I think their response was quite nice and professional aswell seems like they have ok customer service. I say its on you if you dont want a replacement.
It’s a tool, not a piece of artwork (especially not a State). Paint chips, both on cheap and on really expensive frames. Only way to circumvent that is powdercoating, but that limits color choice. Get over yourself with the paint.
I don’t know about the review thing, maybe use an Independent review site. But they did everything they can at that moment with replacement/refund, that’s better customer service than most companies.
Maybe their founders also responds on your posts, he seems to be checking into here once in a while.
Better paint job than squid bikes.
