*edit* just saw the chain is running across like 3 gears! Given the state of that chain and drivetrain, a thorough cleaning, lube and adjustment will probably set you right!

Are you referring to the rust on the gears and the dirty dirty unloved chain? If so, you can get a heavy bristled brush, some degreaser and scrub away. Personally, I like to use the park tool chain cleaning tool set, but you can use the muc-off or the generic brand that comes with chain tool, brush, lube, cleaner, etc for much cheaper, all found on Amazon. If you’re lucky and chain includes quick links, pop it off and clean it off the bike. Otherwise you can clean it just fine on bike. Here’s how I do the drivetrain for when I do light seasons start tuneup fpr neighbors, friends, etc.
With brush/spray bottle: If chain/cogs are dried red rust, I do a quick light spray of wd40. I’m not soaking, or dousing everything. Just getting a light mist on most of the components. Let sit for maybe 1 minute. Then brush. Brush brush brush. Get all the rust wet and muddy with the light mist you did and loose and go over top, bottom and both sides of chain. Everything is peobably a rusty red mess now. You can use a light degreaser or just dawn dish soap and hot water in a spray bottle to rinse and simultaneously brush all those components again. Keep scrubbing and brushing untill the red color is gone and components and chainnare a clean metal color. Get in the cassette gears good and get all that dirt off and same with deraileur and the two little gears. After, I just clean my brushes, and do one last pass with fresh speay/soap/sefreaser/whatever you use, quick scrub and make sure water runs clear, showing everything’s clean. Then you oil that chain, don’t over saturate and get out there and ride!

Same process. But I only.use degreaser, that long brush, fresh Rags, and the chain cleaning took that comes with it. And rinse with warm water and dawn, then warm water than wipe dry. Oil. Ride.
If you do a thorough heavy clean at start of riding season, you can just quick clean and relube throughout the year. And deep clean if you ride in the rain or dirt. You cam also just take to your lbs, but I enjoy my maintenance and cleaings, it let’s me keep an eye on all of my components!

That removable dropout looks to be bent inwards. Without having a good side view of the cogs on that freewheel/cassette I can’t give an opinion on that. Based on the photos, I would say the chain needs to be totally replaced.
For a true assessment we need good 180 photos of the whole drive train. That includes more angles of the parts you’ve shown, & the prates in front (crank & such).

Needs a new rear mech hanger for a start. No point trying anything else before you do that. Get it lined up off a straight (new) hanger first, then adjust.
