I recently got the seatpost sleeve re-done but now I’m having a little bit of slippage again. I very carefully did it up an extra fraction of a turn, but I’m worrying I’ll be in a position of risking frame damage. I’m sad because I spent $330 in the shop last time I got them to have a look at it, and the slipping has started all over again.
Should I get a shop to look at it with a torque wrench just to make sure I’m not overdoing it again? Previously I’d taken it to a shop that doesn’t really know Bromptons and they really overdid it, which is why the Brompton shop spent two hours trying to get it right again. I’m just a bit scared, wondering if that had permanently made it less grippy or something. Or maybe I need to just go on a diet.

Take seat post out, give it a very good clean then make sure the new sleeves are clean. If you still have slippage then take it to a good Brompton dealer.
My seapost is no longer slipping, it used to. I am more careful not to touch the seapost when folding/unfolding to avoid the skin grease getting into it. I clean the seapost with degreaser and a cloth from time to time. Not even remove it: first I fully extend and clean the visible part, then put it down as if folding and I clean the lower part.
