
As shown in the video this mountain tyre won’t sit on the rim properly. It looks as though the wheel is buckled but removing the tyre confirmed this is not the case. I’ve had the tyre on/off multiple times but it just isn’t happening.
The logo on one part of the tyre is much closer to the rim than on the other side and as on the back tyre. It isn’t balanced.
Any ideas? I was thinking of picking up a different tube.

Some tyres will have some deformations due to how they were stored, those will go away as the person rides the bike and the rubber stretches. This is after, of course, making sure the bead is sitting properly in the rim and not in the groove and the wheel is true. What I usually do when the tyre is a bit stiff and stubborn i would pump it under-pressured and go around the block carefully and it would stretch the tyre so it sits properly.
Deflate it, and then put some soapy water all around the tire edge. Inflate it, and you’ll probably hear some pops and it should seat properly.

What pressure are you putting in?
Some times you have to put in extra air pressure to get it to seat properly. Go up to the max pressure or even a bit beyond so the tires will sit properly and then back off the pressure to where you actually want it.
When fitting, rub raw fairy liquid on the bead of the tyre (I’ve seen myself using quite a lot of it for sticky beads / tyres) and over inflate slightly when inflating… you should hear the tyre “popping” into place.
CO2 “pumps” or things like the “Airshot” will provide the OOMPH to pop troublesome tyres / beads onto the rim.
You mentioned the logo is closer to the rim on one side. Sounds like it isn’t seated properly, wack some more air in if possible.
