Good day!
I would like to know if anyone uses speedplay pedals riding fixed fear and BRAKELESS, and their thoughts on it.
I have a road bike and would like to use same shoes on both.
I have used SPD and TIME cleats for fixed gear, with both resulting in unattended unclips. Im not sure if its because of the way my knee forces my foots to rest on the pedal, or because of the position my feet turn as I skid.
Will Speedplay hold up to the force used when stopping brakeless?
Does anyone else only ride strapped in because un unclipping when stopping?

Whoa!
FWIW I ride SPD pedals brakless and have never unclipped. From what I’ve seen, most unclips are caused either by someone using the wrong cleat (should only use the SH51, not the silver multi release cleat) or not having the tension cranked up, or use really worn down cleats. I have tried to intentionally unclip on a skid to test and physically could not do it. What makes me feel better even better about it is seeing pros also rock SPD brakeless, as seen [here](https://youtu.be/dsd0-2Vi4S0?si=vW2xaxEnxrbdzdyD)
Have you ridden SPD-SL cleats and pedals before? As in three bolt road shoes? And then really tighten up the spring tension in the pedal. That’s my favorite for brakeless
