Hello good morning well once again we are in my Paris apartment for a about five minutes and we’ve decided to try to cram in a renovation project um basically I I just really want to like update this apartment and make it feel fresh and like really nice

Because uh it’s time H and also because I’m trying to kind of revamp the Airbnb listing for this place because uh I’ve talked about on the channel a bit before but basic Bally when I’m at everine working I do Airbnb with this apartment and that helps pay for everything at

Everine but uh Airbnb has not really been promoting the listing of this apartment so we’re hoping to get some new photos with nice new color and nice updated everything and get some some bookings rolling in that way so um here is our our goal for this basically like

20 hours that we’ve got like basically we’ve got this afternoon and then tomorrow morning till about 10:00 a.m. to to get this all done done so the goal is to put a chair rail around the border of the living room here behind me um basically just a white piece of wood

Going around the whole room uh it’s it sounds weird when you don’t picture it in your head but like it’s it’s not it’s going to be nice it’s going to be nice um the other goal is to put up the new curtains because uh when we repainted

This room last time we were here uh these curtains just don’t quite go with the new color so I ordered some new curtains these curtains are going to go to everine for the blue bedroom I’m going to iron the new curtains and put them up that is the plan we need to now

Run to the hardware store to pick up all the stuff to get started and hopefully we’ll get this done uh between now and 10:00 a.m. tomorrow Morning someone’s very excited for hardware store trip I feel like I’m walking a dog that’s dragging me along by the leash so I want something with uh an interesting shape so like something like kind of this maybe and I don’t want it to be like

This is nice too but this is may be too narrow like I like it to be quite thick yeah I was saying that would be possible to have two of them like something like that I think that’s too wide though probably that’s very wide yeah and it would be more expensive yeah

Probably sometimes two small ones are not as expensive as what one big one yeah but this one is nice could be easier to do I in my brain you’re going to laugh at me but in my brain I’m convinced that we’re going to put this against the wall and discover that the

Wall is like really curved like every wall at ever you have you have blue bedroom PTSD I have PTSD yeah so in my brain if we use one piece it’s going to be simpler than two pieces cuz I just I just know that wall is going to be curved I feel it coming

In my bones difficulty is we did not measure and it’s not because we were prepared is because we didn’t have a measuring tape which you could also interpret as being un unprepared but here’s my Logic the longer side of the room we

Have the sofa and I am 1 M 78 and if I lay flat on the sofa I’m the same length as the sofa and I think that wall is two sofas so we I’m going to guess that the long sides of the room are like three M and 60 cm let’s say four

Let’s say four so we need two of these on these ones and then maybe three to do the shorter walls yeah yeah was that the right glue I think it would be enough with the one oh oh based on my expertise from the blue bedroom I think we could do with one I

Think so and it’s not very far if we need to come back that’s true it’s not it’s only 5 minutes to come here on the bike and also I’m an expert in this yeah I’ve done this so much why can’t I buy pillows I want pillows yeah you don’t

Also is like not too white against the Green I think this will be okay we’ve now gone we’ve gone from me plus wood on bike to two people plus wood on bike oh I think that’s good I can ride like that or I could walk home NOP nope nope just one more again Sorry He We are back at the apartment uh the first project now is to to custom the angle box we just both because for the angles of the apartment we need to to cut some angles so it’s nice and it fits good the problem is the angle box we

Bought doesn’t have the good angle to to cut the trim so I just uh marked the angle I need to cut and I’m going to do as good as I can wish me Lu what do you think could be the best tool for that I have my little so thanks s me Knife well I’m back it was tougher than I thought it would have been um My Little s was great for doing the first side of the of the of the angle box but I had to take the big so to do the second side and it’s not

The the cleanest cut ever but it seems to be quite parallel and I think the angle is okay I measured it’s it seemed to be 45° so it will probably be good enough for what we need to do I did a quick um I did a quick test

Cutting two ends of the trims like on on on the angle and actually it seems to be quite okay I show you that right now so it’s not easy just like that on the floor and of course the angles are not really straight but it seems to be

Fitting okay well it’s I’m I think I’m on 90° angle and I I think it will be fine now uh I’m going to start painting the the trims and we’ll see what’s going on you did a lot well I didn’t do a lot but well you did important things yeah I

Did important things and that’s a lot and I could use my knife and I was really happy with well that’s the most important thing all right so what were you saying you had a question you had a thought um the next step now is either starting to

Paint them so it starts drying yeah and we can move forward or uh already cutting the the the trims on the good size mhm so um so we don’t damage it we don’t damage them we don’t damage the paint when we well here’s Here’s my thought I

The chair rail trim glued to the wall we got it all cut it is all the right size and so all I’ve got to do is glue which fortunately I am I say this now a bit of an expert at because I did so much gluing wood to walls in the blue

Bedroom uh but I am a little nervous about getting this like perfectly even so we’re going to measure we’re going to be very careful and precise and I’m going to start gluing well I have to say this is this whole process is just giving me such a flashback do I have to

Open this first huh yeah I do have to open that first oh the r left his Swiss army knife I’m going to use it illicitly to open the glue um I have to say this whole process is giving me so many flashbacks of the blue bedroom it is it just feels bizarre

To be doing literally all the things that I did in the whole process that The Saga that was doing the the wood trim in the blue bedroom I cannot open this why is this so hard I think there’s a saw in here where’s the Saw no wait this does not have a saw

This is the one that his pliers he has Swiss Army pliers also of course and the pliers have the saw it’s okay we’re going to make this work um but like this is all just such a flashback to the whole Saga that was doing the blue bedroom from riding a

Bike with a bunch of wood attached to it to gluing wood to trying to paint all the wood like it’s so weird to be doing this again but in Paris this time why it no work well well well we’re back to this because in a well in a Twist on what is

Always the problem gluing wood to walls uh I do actually think that the wall is straight this time however I think the wood is slightly off being straight because it just doesn’t quite want to go flush with the wall this is the worst really I love the

Way all this wood trim looks but I really hate applying it anyway I put masking tape to like attempt to hold it as close to the wall as possible I guess we’ll fill it with something like if there’s a small space like that between the wood and the wall

Why can’t things just be Straight I think is this one is much higher you know some people when they go to work and their girlfriend does nice things and makes the apartment beautiful they don’t they don’t come back and measure how straight she did things and when she says I measure good

They just take her word for it and they don’t have have a lot of nasty questions I don’t have any nasty questions no you just have a nasty measuring tape that tells you lies cuz it’s straight that’s straight yeah it’s straight I’ve never seen such a straight dream mhm mhm never

No it’s perfect yeah you know some people when their girlfriend does very nice work in the apartment wouldn’t notice that there’s maybe one very small place where it’s not perfectly lined up and they wouldn’t make her glue it again I didn’t make you I I glued it

Again myself yeah and then you put glue over both of our hands yeah hello yeah what are you doing nothing do you know that it’s 11:00 at night yeah but if I waited then the glue would have been really hard and do you know that I would never have

Been able to do it we have 11 hours to finish this project and also clean the whole apartment really good do we yeah that’s a lot of time and also we haven’t had dinner yet what’s that it doesn’t it doesn’t stick anymore you can’t get it to go back on

The wall I will put some glue with it look look at the big hole in the paint that you did I want it to be even I know No it’s very hard to be you uh so I just looked at this piece and I said is that one straight it’s so not straight oh I beep this so much [Laughter] how not straight is it it’s 4 cm no straight no not four three CM no straight in 60 cm the painting

Not straight is really my bad too a but it’s it’s corrected now but we did you did so good though yeah and I’m very happy in it looks very nice yeah so are you sleepy well I just had four or five pickles with some rice sauce and uh a

Left of rice with cry you five pickles with Samurai sauce yeah I saw you eating them but I thought you were having like one no I had lot of them and also rice with curry are you going to die no but I had like a kind of fomo of cor of pickles

Yeah and there was some leftover fries and it was maybe a little old but I think it was good I think we need to go to sleep before you die yeah probably it’s it’s only 2 something a.m. so we’re going to go to sleep and tomorrow we’ll show you the finished

Weekend at a very nice sh to but back to the point I just wanted to quickly say that we did take some lovely photos of the finished Department renovation and we’re going to put them on Airbnb soon I have to edit the photos I have to update

Morning um things are light and much easier to see so let’s show off how it all came out um I I’m really happy with it I think it came out great here we go so I’ll come over here where it’s the easiest to see the chair

Rail that is looking really nice it’s a little bit hidden behind things but I like that cuz that kind of makes it really subtle and then in certain places it’s it’s more clear didn’t get around to painting the bookshelf but that will be a future project um but I think for for having

Basically 12 hours to do this whole project and sleep uh I think we’ve done a very good job and I ironed the curtains last night and put them up and I really really like them so before we had the blue twouie curtains which are beautiful and are going to be beautiful

At everan but just the blue didn’t work in this room anymore and I’m I’m really happy uh with these but in the meantime as usual it’s time to go uh I’m going back to Switzerland this afternoon I’ve got a show tomorrow so got to catch the train and then uh next week theoretic

Well I’m waiting to hear back about a job in Paris next week uh but even if I am doing a job in Paris I probably won’t get anything done here because I have a friend who’s coming to stay here um that week so I’ll be either hanging out with

Her or going down to everine so we’ll see what happens I don’t know what’ll happen I don’t know where my life is but somewhere I will be somewhere uh but anyway it’s time to head towards somewhere on the train but before I before I go and hop
