I have [this bike](https://www.specialized.com/au/en/ariel-disc/p/65330?color=172602-65330). It has 700c x 38mm commuter tyres, stock everything else. Its been my commuter bike for 8 years now, i find it mostly comfortable.

Ive done some small tours on it before (5 days max), with a shitty rack (which rattles and all the bolts come loose after a few hundred kms), 2 panniers and a camp chair i strap inside the frame. Im wanting to take this bike across spain, england and taiwan later in the year for a month in each country.

I like doing gravel roads, mild offroad tracks (slowly) and paved roads.

What upgrades should I do to make it worth it and more comfortable/durable/capable for a longer tour? I had my eye on a kona unit x, but i feel like with a few upgrades it would make what i have good enough, with more cash left over for me to drink beer and eat mad food while on holiday lol.

I was thinking of getting gravel tyres, surly moloko handlebars, some extra or different bags and maybe hydraulic disc brakes instead of mechanical? (havent looked into brakes yet but my current mechanical disc brakes arent great).

Do you guys think this is worth my time instead of buying a new bike and kitting it out?
