I wish to run these carbon wheels but noticed a single bolt hole on the rear bontrager hub is cracked as per the pics. The screw sits in there but cant be torqued.
My question is, should I run 5 bolts or 4? What have people found? I can also run a bolt and nut in there. For sure. Just wanting to be safe. Would loctite the bolts. Thanks.

Bontrager wheels with carbon rims have a lifetime warranty (produced after August 1,2019), so I’d give that a try.
Otherwise, I personally wouldn’t run it. Brakes aren’t a place where I screw around.

I think you know the answer. You need all 6. You need a new hub. Don’t fuck with brake safety
The face of the hub supports the disc itself. The disc will quickly warp if bolts are missing. Oh, and the bolts connect the disc to the wheel so best to have them all!.
The disk is structurally reliant on a firm connection to the hub. A missing screw creates an incorrectly supported section of disk and under heavy braking could cause catastrophic failure. Normally every 60 decree radial arm is supported, without a screw there are no correct supports for 120 degrees.
If you need go get home use 5 bolts and change the hub as fast as possible….if that hub snaps your life is in danger and you could ruin the spokes and the rim…
Unless it’s a bike that you’re racing on I would run 5 bolts and continue using the hub. Just check the bolt tension at regular intervals.
For reference: I’ve done marathon MTB races, 5 hour affairs, where I have, after finishing, noticed the bolts being lose. Also lost bolts during training rides. There’s a lot of redundancy there just as long as you keep an eye on it.
