Totally new to the mtb scene, usually I ride my roadbike but I have been doing some research and landed on the Specialized Epic HT and Epic HT comp.
Problem is, the Epic HT comes in the awesome red which I love, but is specced with Sram NX + Judy Gold.. the Epic HT Comp comes in a blue which I am ok with I guess, but specced with Sram GX + SID. Price difference is around $500usd.
Color is pretty important to me, but I’m not sure if it’s worth going down that route vs a better specced bike that I can afford. Thoughts?

I’m no expert, but from what I’m seeing right now, with the Sram NX on sale, the nx and the Judy will be roughly 4-450 depending on where you get it.

If you really want the color, and are willing to change these parts, go ahead. But personally I would just get the higher spec bike in the first place. The color of my bike is the last thing I’m thinking about on a ride unless it was hot pink and had streamers coming out the handlebars.
