I’m new to mountain biking and my first time out I have 2 issues. This comes loose, not sure what it’s called. I spin it back in by hand to get it back to my truck and I can watch it spin itself out. Also when in 1st or 2nd gear, if I back pedal at all it slips gears and goes to 3rd and then falls off completely. I was on another subreddit and was told that normal by half the people, others said it’s not. I think I should just take it to a shop to go over since it seems quality control is an issue. Do they offer any kind of warranty repair service? Any experience dealing with Canyon? Any input is appreciated.

Standard new bike stuff. Take it into a bike shop for them to have a look, need a specialised tool (pin spanner) to tighten that bearing cup.
Back pedaling for anything more than a 1/2 to full turn, will cause a problem for just about all modern drivetrains. It is an unecessary behaviour you need to quit.
