Me and my mate are planning on doing this in around 30-35 days from july-august. It would be our first tour and we were wondering how possible it would be. We have both cycled 50 miles in one go before but took us quite a while and we definitely didn’t have any mountains around us. Would it be possible for us to do? I know that a random person on reddit won’t be able to tell me that, but in general bike tour terms, is it an alright route for first time tourers? We are planning on wildcamping most nights.
(I uploaded this a couple of hours ago but then adjusted the route so I’m reuploading)
Anyone who has cycled anywhere around the route please offer any advice or places to go etc.

How much experience do you have camping in the wild? I would assume it adds some extra time and a hard limit on your days to find a good spot. And that’s ignoring the legality of it in some places. What’s your charging setup? Solar panels or a couple of quick chargers and large battery packs for nights in a hostel each week?
You’re doing about 2700km in 30 days, which averages about 90km a day. That’s doable but only if you are also able to do days where you’re riding 150+km a day. Because you won’t be covering that much distance on the days you’re riding in the mountains. Especially since you’re *averaging* 1000m of climbing each day as well.
But that’s 90km of non-stop riding. Let’s add a mere 3 days where you just recover or do some local sightseeing in a place you like. Now you need to average 100km a day.
In short, this sounds more like a transcontinental race to me instead of a nice vacation. But maybe others have a different opinion.
Have you considered piecing some Eurovelo routes together. It will make it easier to follow landmarks and good bicycle infrastructure.
