  1. Nah that’s fine, as long as the top of the steerer tube is at the same height or higher as the centre line of the top pinch bolt your all good

  2. No that’s how it’s supposed to be. If the steerer was flush with the stem, the top cap wouldn’t be able to preload your headset.

  3. If you used a compression plug instead of a star nut, that cut would be perfect, as the top of the compression plug would sit on top of the steerer. This is fine, a compression nut would be better. I don’t like star nuts.

  4. That should be fine…. I prefer to cut even with the stem and place a small spacer on top. There is enough steertube there that it is safe…

    Looks ok to me. 3mm is ideal and 5mm is close enough. With triathlon bikes like that it’s very hard to cut it perfect
