Got my CF8 this Friday and the divot circled here is lose, and spun with the screw as I attempted to remove it to install my water cage. Had to use some thin pliers to hold it in place to get screw out. Canyon says I can send bike back (as of this morning PST) they had 3 XS still available for order. Like the caption says, should I send back for this minor issue? I’m sure I can still mount water cage… TIA

I would not send it back.
I would google, “how to tighten loose rivnut,” fix it myself, and press on with enjoying my bike.
Minor but annoying…
This is a simple fix for a competent bike shop. Essentially the riv nut hasn’t been properly installed, and needs to expand a bit more (or replaced) to grab the frame properly.
If it’s more convenient for you to just ship the bike back and get a new one, that works too.
