I will be changing from SX to NX cranks. Watched a video on YouTube and everything seems pretty straight forward except for one part. The part in the picture I linked to. Do I spin it until it lightly rests on the bearing or do I spin it till it is snugged up on the bearing? I’ve done plenty of cranks on bmx bikes, square and non square taper. Anything I should be aware of while doing these?
Everything is already loosened up and ready to come off.. Just waiting on the 165s to be dropped off today. I probably should have waited till the mailman actually dropped them off.

DO NOT use youtube as you your only reference for instructions, it’s fine as secondary references.
read the [service manual](https://docs.sram.com/en-US/publications/7unL17qdyCWxTL38aPmYJ0/UM%20-%20DUB%20Cranksets%20and%20Bottom%20Brackets?models=fc-nx-1-c1#hashItem=dub-cranksets-and-bottom-brackets) that is directly provided by the manufacturer for free.
it will cover everything from: required tools/materials, removal of crankset, installation of crankset, and torque specifications.
for your particular case it tells you what to do with that preload adjuster and how it should be loosened or tightened when removing or installing the crankset.
