Am curious if this bike is worth attempting to restore. Also would love to know how old it is and if it would be something I could sell as is. Got it in a scrap pickup today. Thank you for any help you can send my way.
I’m guessing you’re too young to know what K-mart was. This is a 1970’s gaspipe 3-speed. All steel, not really worth anything except if you had nothing else. Better than walking.
Fix iit up, it’s good to learn bike mechanics on.
McDoof on
I guarantee that if you fixed this bike up well and preserved/restored the branding, you could sell it for top dollar to either a) a hipster who would LOVE to ironically ride a KMart bike or b) a rich *Citizen Kane* “Rosebud”-type who had one of these when he was growing up.
