Would you buy a double decker knowing the 2.0 is out?
I’m getting more into gravel and want to upgrade from a diverge E5 to a carbon frame. The diverge is just heavy and the not aggressive enough for me. I’m actually way more comfortable on a rave bike like my Aeroad more than being upright.
I see the canyon outlet is full of double deckers. I have no fears of outlet since I’ve bought 2 bikes and have had no issues. If they push out a 10% coupon in the US it would make the double decker 1k cheaper than the 2.0.
I have zero experience on either but I’m the type of guy that will ride better if I love my bike. I feel like I’m going to love the double because of the uniqueness but I don’t want to turn around wish I had the “upgrade”.

The main reason to worry is that Canyon doesn’t have the proprietary parts of that model in stock and it’s discontinued. The new grail is very different.
Whether you want to modify something (a better fit, etc) or damage it, your only option is buying used parts or from third parties. Even for the frame or fork, they don’t have them in stock available for sale individually.
Also, Canyon US is no longer honoring the crash replacement policy. They only offer 20% off a full priced bike. So, it gives no wiggle room. I’d recommend you do some research into this before buying this model (or any bike from Canyon because these problems also apply to newer models).
That said, it’s a great bike and in my opinion the double decker is pretty cool but it’s probably one of those things you either hate or love.
