  1. Get a chain checker, and check chain wear. Replace if needed.

If it still skips, where does it skips? Chainrings or cassette? You could replace just what skips, but usually, the other part isn’t far from done too… Replace both if needed.

  2. How many kilometers has the drivetrain seen? I’ve had bikes where the hub was loose and this was the cause.
Otherwise I would recommend changing the chain and cassette.

  3. Seeing the place where the crank set has rubbed against the frame indicates a bad bottom bracket or a bent crankset on the ring side. See if the crank arms wobble if pushed side to side to see if the bottom bracket is bad. And watch the gear to see if it wobbles when spun with or without the chain on.

  4. If you have “tons of chain slip” due to wear, and the chain has only been used on the concerned drivetrain, then you’re at the very least going to need new chain and cassette. Possibly chainrings too, but you can determine that afterwards.

But be sure it is wear that’s causing slip and not a deformed or maladjusted derailleur, unseated wheel or something else.

  5. How long have you had the chain and cassette? How long has it been slipping? Any chance the hanger is bent?

  6. Those chainrings are pretty worn, to be honest, but not the worst . Get a new chain and cassette and see what it’s like then. You can also fix that broken spoke while the cassette’s off.

Start by cleaning and lubing the chain. Is that isn’t enough check buy a checker and replace the chain if it’s stretched. If it’s stretched past .75 then replace the cassette as well. The chainrings are probably ok for another chain or two

  8. Chain slips in the rear. New casette.
New cassette new chain. Buy a chain checker. I got a good one from aliexpress.? If you dont want the hassle i would get the BBB one that has the rotor disc checker too.

  9. Chain slip almost always occurs at the cassette, either from a worn chain or cassette, or both.

    1. Check the chain for wear, replace if worn.
    2. If a new chain slips under load, the cassette needs replacing.
    3. If a new chain catches on the front chainring, replace the chainrings.
