Hello Canyons,
After 12 years on the same €400 bike I have decided to buy a new one. After many hours looking at, and comparing bikes I have decided on the Canyon Endurace AL 7. However there are 2 versions (not including the RB), [one newer](https://www.canyon.com/en-de/road-bikes/endurance-bikes/endurace/al/endurace-7/3705.html?dwvar_3705_pv_rahmenfarbe=R074_P05) and [one older](https://www.canyon.com/en-de/road-bikes/endurance-bikes/endurace/al/endurace-7/2733.html?dwvar_2733_pv_rahmenfarbe=R074_P05).
How big is the difference between these two bikes. The biggest difference, from what I can see, is that the newer version have the latest mechanical 105 groupset. There’s also minor differences, like the wheels, stem and seatpost.
Am I missing something? Is the only reason for the €200 price difference the newer groupset?
Thank you in advance.

That’s pretty much the difference. The wheels are a wash, as are the other species differences beside 105 upgrade.
11sp 105 is great and you won’t get much more form the 12sp. Unless you love in a hilly area. The 11-36 range on 12sp is really nice to have on climbs. Also, if you decide to sell the bike in X years, you might get most of your $200 back since it will have a newer groupset. If you keep it for a long time, 12sp parts will be available longer.
