It’s a solid road bike, and it has served me well. I like to ride fast, and I feel like I’m topping out on this bike. I would like to upgrade to something more modern and, hopefully, faster.
I’ve been looking on Craigslist. My budget is about $1,000 USD. Could go a little higher. Questions:
I’m familiar with brands like Trek, Cannondale and Specialized. A lot of brands I am not super familiar with: Cervelo, Look, Masi, Colango, Kestrel, Orbea
In terms of speed and comfort, what are some models to look for? And sizing: the 51cm I have fits me pretty well, I have the seat raised up maybe 3 or 4 inches. What sizes should I be looking at for the new ride? I’m curious if I could fit onto a 54cm, since I see a lot of that size for sale, and much fewer of small sizes. (I am a dude, about 5 feet 7 inches tall)
Can anyone point me to resources to research and learn about Carbon road bikes? One thing that’s kind of annoying: people don’t seem to put the year of the bike in their ads, so we’re on our own to try to figure it out…
