New(ish) Bike Day

I just wrapped up this custom Stigmata 3 build a few days ago, using a mix of new, used, and take off parts. This was my first time building a bike piece by piece from frameset to completion, and I’m so glad I did it. The tools are expensive and there was plenty of stress involved, but being able to service nearly every part of your bike is priceless. Also shoutout to Sram & Park Tool’s instructional videos, both were super helpful.

Also I’m sure the new 4th generation Stigmata is great, but man this thing absolutely rips. At the moment my road bike has no wheels, but the payoff of being able to ride almost anywhere on this rig is totally worth it.

Weight as pictured (minus seat bag, radar, & computer): 17.8 lbs.

* 3rd generation Santa Cruz Stigmata frame, size 54 (used)
* Sram Force 170mm cranks with Wolf Tooth 42t chainring (used)
* Sram Dub BB – x2 (I broke the first one that I ordered by adding too many spacers and over-tightening the crankset, lesson learned)
* Sram Eagle X01 chain – x2 (I ordered one on facebook marketplace that showed up with 114 links when I needed 126, luckily it was cheap)
