Trying to fit an old (2018 ish) Sram XX1 derailleur I had to a frame (2018 Cube Reaction TM) I’m building up for a friend.
When it’s attached it has 4/5mm of float on the bolt, can I just put some spacers there or is the derailleur just not compatible?

Most SRAM derailleurs have a washer and circlip
Looks like a you are missing a part that [looks somewhat like this](https://r2-bike.com/media/image/product/134694/md/hopp-carbon-parts-anschlag-kettenspannung-carbon-fuer-sram-xx1-x01-schaltwerk.jpg). IIRC on those derailleurs the b-screw does not rest on the hanger directly; instead there is a plate with a tab that rests on the hanger and provides support to the b-screw. Looks like it would normally fill that gap.
It’s a direct mount hanger (Shimano) and sram uses the old school dereilleur hanger.
