My LBS is having a Giant stocksale of older models. I know the Defy and TCR are a completely different bikes (endurance vs race) and will offer a different riding experience. I’m a beginner btw.
\- [Defy advanced pro 2](https://www.giant-bicycles.com/nl/defy-advanced-pro-2-ultegra-2022) : € 2120 (Ultegra mech but with a Dura Ace crank and GRX RX-810 rear derailleur)
\- [TCR advanced 1+ AR](https://www.giant-bicycles.com/be/tcr-advanced-disc-1plus-ar) : € 2400 (full Rival eTap)
\- [TCR advanced pro 0](https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/tcr-advanced-pro-disc-0-ultegra-di2-2022) : € 3400 (full Ultegra Di2)
TIA

looking for the best bang for buck bike is kinda dumb…have you determined the differences between the tcr models and defy models? as far as i know, defy has wider tire clearance, more relaxed geometry…
what bikes have you used in the past? if this is your first road bike, i highly suggest getting a used bike under 500euros, in the RIGHT SIZE and geometry, which is probably the most important aspect of buying a bike. i started that way and learned a lot about bikes by replacing the parts, researching, buying tools etc, although my 54cm is a little too big and i would probably be better off with a 52cm. now i can appreciate a nicer bike when the time comes (when i have the money to buy one 🥲)
the giant defy with shimano 105 is one bike i’m considering 🤫
