France’s tallest mountain Mont Blanc has shrunk by over two metres in height over the past two years, researchers said Thursday, measuring the Alpine peak at 4,805.59 metres (15,766.4 feet).

I thought glaciers disappeared 20 years ago.
Glaciers are very heavy, it takes years when the weight of geological pressures of water melt is removed. Scotland is still rising whilst Southern England is falling, over the last 12,000 years.
