Hello everyone,

I found this bike in the trash outside my house and thought it might be a good idea to fix it up. I really like the bike a lot, but as you can see in the picture, it’s missing a wheel. I’d like to know if it’s possible to fix it without the repair cost exceeding that of buying a new bike. Honestly, I don’t have much of an idea of how much it might cost to fix. The brand of the bike is Paddletong. Any suggestions on where I could find a new wheel and what kind of wheel should I look for?

You need a 700c hybrid wheel with either a screw on fitting for a freewheel or a cassette fitting for a cassette – either will work.

    Wheel £50ish
    Cassette or freewheel £15-20
    Tyre £15-20
    Tube £5
