A SIMPLE CYCLE RIDE THROUGH THE DORGOGNE, WITH A LOVELY LUNCH TO FINISH!!
The weather is bonkers!! 30 degrees at the end of September, so we take it easy with an early morning cycle ride through the gorgeous Dordogne countryside, with no particular destination.
We arrive at the lovely village of Daglan, quite by chance!
Daglan is a very attractive medieval town situated in the tranquil Ceou Valley
The village has a good number of traditional Dordogne houses built in the typical white limestone of the region. The principal historic monument in the centre of the village is the church of Saint-Martin, which retains its 13th century entrance of carved stone columns.
The village also has a few very nice restaurants- one of which- La Cantina- we spent a lovely time at, devouring their ‘Plat Du Jour’, which made the cycle itself worthwhile for the poached pear in chocolate alone.’
A lovely day out exploring the Dordogne.!!
Well it is scheduled to be another glorious sunny day at the door do today they’re estimating it might be up to 30° so we’re going to take it easy today and just go on a very very easy cycle ride along a uh route vet that is just left
Outside of the campsite um taking it a little bit easy today we’ll see how we go so we are back on the little cycle path that runs from the campsite heading back into Castle Nord um which is straight in front of us as you can see the beautiful shadow on
The hill but when we get into town instead of going into the town itself we’re going to go along the river and turn left and there apparently is a very nice route vet uh cycle route very nice easy route so that’s the plan for today awesome well the plan for this morning
