Welcome back everyone so we’ve got a bit of a treat for you today guys something completely different I think you’re going to enjoy it um a few of you might have seen a video that I made not so long ago actually about my gun collection my love for shotguns and air

Rifles and target shooting Etc well a very good friend of mine from back in the day guy called Daniel owns a company called Crawley Surplus which is probably one of the UK’s biggest if not the biggest supplier of uh air rifles air pistols Airsoft Etc

All the fun Big Boys Toys and uh he’s invited me over for a look around today um he’s going to show us uh his favorite top picks of some of the most or some of the more luxurious and more expensive air rifles Etc also going to show us

Some recommended budget ones as well um but I’ve got to make something clear before we get there cuz after the last video I made a lot of you quite a lot of you wrote to me and said Paul what about air rifle uh as a method for home

Self-defense whoa hold on a minute um got make something very very clear here guys first of all preparing for an act of self-defense in the UK um is illegal it completely nullifies your defense in law so I do not recommend categorically do not recommend or advise that you ever uh buy

An air weapon um for the purposes of home self-defense so I’ve got to make that clear because I know it’s a question that you guys will ask me after this video goes out um they’re unsuitable for many reasons what are they suitable for and

Why do I like them so much well first of all they’re just a great bit of fun I mean I actually collect as much as anything there are three basic uses for air guns in the UK one is for collecting purposes which I do one is for hunting

Which I actually don’t I don’t feel the right I don’t feel that I have the right to take anything’s life I’ve got nothing against people that do hunt but it’s not for me but I also do quite a bit of target shooting which is a whole heap of

Fun um but uh let’s get over here let’s uh we’re just pulling up now let’s get parked up and uh I’ll show you around I think you’re going to enjoy This A W w w w W he See see I know that You you you be So I’m with a good old friend of mine Daniel from Crawley Surplus Store um I’ve been a customer here for a number of years spent far too much money but this is like a sweet shop for big boys right Daniel is indeed lots of choice

And uh what I’ve asked him to do is I’ve asked him to get out some of what I think is or what Daniel thinks more importantly is the best selection of air rifles both at the lower more affordable end right for people that haven’t got a

Fortune to spend um but then also you know what I’m like guys I love a bit of quality and um I’ve asked Daniel pick out his favorite air rifles for 2024 and he’s got a beautiful selection here we’re going to go through each one of them Daniel’s going to tell you a bit

About them and at the end of it I’m going to pick my own personal favorites as well but before we do that let’s just go through the boring bit the safety side first of all every gun has been checked they’re all unloaded they are indeed they’re all safe all safe um from

A legal Viewpoint let’s just talk about the legals very quickly um what is the situation the situation on buying you need to come down with two formats of ID showing sort of your address date of birth um picture obviously photo ID um once you’ve got that you then can

Take the gun away um and no problem at all and that’s the same right across the UK same yeah apart from Scotland Scotland’s a bit different it is yeah they have their own permits there you have to have a permit where there’s no permits no license required everything

That we do in store is uh below 12T PB so you can come in and uh go from so it’s interesting you mentioned 12T pounds um I know that our American viewers are going to be on their backs now with their legs laughing in the air but listen guys that’s what happens when

You give your gun rights up so make sure you keep them keep joining that NRA over there right but uh 12T PBS explain that to the viewers what does it mean exactly well it’s the obviously the pressure of the rifle so it mustn’t go over 12T

Pound in pressure um as long as it doesn’t go over that then they’re fine to they’re fine to legal limit B exactly that exactly and 12T PBS he’s suitable for in general I mean if we feet per second if we put say on a 17 7 that’s

The smaller pellet that will fire around 800 ft per 7 800 ft per second um and then the 22 would be around 575 to 600 feet per second on the 2 two cuz it’s a bigger pet slightly heavier so it slightly slower so just going through

That because I know a lot of people really get interested in this stuff and certainly it’s been interesting for me over the years I think the the first thing that people do a lot of the time you might tell me I’m wrong but they go out and they instantly want a 22 cuz

They think it’s a bigger pellet it’s heavier hitting it’s going to be more powerful going back it was 22 was hits harder that was definitely thing but now with the technology of pellets now where you can have a heavier weight pellet and then the 177 wolf travel faster flatter

Then you can use the heavyweight pet it will do just as much damage as the as the 22 the as the two2 and it gets there quicker it get there flatter and if people are wondering what we mean by flat wall I’ll explainly and you can

Tell me where I go wrong when a pet leaves the end of a barrel it kind of goes exaggerated it goes in a loop like that so it starts here goes up in a loop and ends up it looks like you shot straight but it’s actually gone like

That exactly P me name that right really exactly to day it’s just I think the days when obviously was 22 was when oh that’s the because it was the most powerfulest and it was because there was only there was only two sides of pellets pointed round and flat um and that’s all

You have but nowadays you’ve got different size pets 4.51 4.52 4.53 so they’re even tighter in the barrel so they even give that more extra accuracy when you’re shooting as well now personally I’ve never really been a hunter um I’ve got nothing against people that hunt I’ve always said that

It’s Target shooing is my thing um but the rifles that you’re going to show us today they’re suitable for just about anything correct anything but nothing just small furry rats rabbits that sort of thing screw rul nothing bigger than that you can’t go think I to go and

Shoot the fox and that’s not and that’s definitely not going to happen right so where are we going to start what we got for me let’s start with we start off at the lower end and then move upwards let’s do that let’s let’s swap there we

Go so if we come along with this one this is the ger going to enjoy this didn’t I this is a German made vck rifle it’s the classic hw99 just classic you break the bowel put the pellet in fire it’s never really going to have any problems it just

Traditional now for me this is a gun that you can buy say with your teenage son or it is 10 year old or whatever you know people have had these 20 OD years I was going to say you passes down to I mean 100 is going to be good for your grandkids yeah

Definitely and they will go up in value as well because every year these seems to go up and there is a price rise coming as well I’ve been told by vck as well so it’s these are just as classic as they get I’m not going to do it cuz

You shouldn’t Dy fire you just break it just you break it like that exact all rifle bowed on the inside it spins the pet nicely and then you’re ready to go you got the safety obviously adjustable trigger adjustable two stage adjustable trigger beautiful Triggers on the virar

Now if you want to spend how much is this gun down £5 £ 305 and they do come cheaper different makes yeah but this is quality L end entry level yeah on a German made rifle if you miss with this it’s your fault not the gun go down to

Spec Savers yeah exactly right lovely so fix SES on this it’s got a a r so you put 9 to 11 you can put a lovely scope on there without going mad probably about 70 gets you a lovely Hawk scope which so you’re not you know having to

Spend too much money and tell me got a rifle bag under 400 you’ll be all in 20 30 ft in your back Garden as well as long as you got a safe backdrop 30 M really 30 m you’re going to do no problem at all but if you got a smaller

Back Garden as long as you got a good backdrop and you know I can’t emphasize enough safety safety safety and you won’t have any problems and just make sure obviously that when you do fire the rifle that you’ve got a good thick ply board something so donal’s a pet doesn’t

Go to a neighbor’s Garden or if you had a path yeah you know you the pellet can’t go through you that’s when you’ll have a problem yeah that’s it by the way if anyone sees anything here today they fall in love with and I think they’re

Going to um because I fell in love with a couple if they live in other parts of the UK how would you supply them we can um send to your local gun dealer so it means um we do all the paperwork we’ll speak to your local dealer near to where

You live and then we’ll send it to the DA 24-hour special career service and then you can go and collect from there but you have to show two forms of ID on collection like you would do here to buy it in the first and if you give thanel a

As well can’t ask some all right where we going to go from there next we’re going to go to another by the way I actually have one of those guns at home and I have it because it just you don’t have to fill it up you just pick it up

Break the barrel put a pellet in use it you’re good to go and it’s a great Target gun as well I’m going to go to the English made version but an under lver version so this means the bowel is fixed and then you’ve got the lever

Underneath I can get to the and then you just pull down yeah so that’s an under lever with a fixed Barrel which technically should make the gun more accurate right yeah it is I mean going back before that the modern engineering now but I mean most of the rifles they

Are even brake barrels they really are nice that’s a lovely Walnut stock adjustable as well adjustable cheap piece uh again two stage trigger and it is beautiful lovely bit of wood on that really nice bit of wood yeah that like a Turkish Walnut or something I would say

It could be uh well yeah Italian I would say Italian right okay yeah yeah I mean beautiful beautiful bit of wood I mean the wood for me often makes the gun it’s quite uh a substantial heavy gun this you get a scope on it you but the accuracy of the gun incredible yeah

These come with a threeyear warranty with the airarms now they’re given you a little bit more than what they used to uh as well so and what’s the price of that uh they’re about just under ,000 okay so that’s a lot of money for a b Barrel right but you’re paying for the

You’re paying for the deluxe Walnut stock as well so it’s slightly nicer and the adustable cheap piece we do do the traditional one which is about1 less um without the adjustable cheek piece as well so really where as far as spring guns are concern we’re talking of the

Rollsroyce you are you’re to the top end there isn’t anything really else in in Spring guns which I would say is is better any better than that fantastic right what’s next uh again if we go to say We’ll change it a little bit more and we’ll go to the FX

These are Swedish made FX impact I think you have one of these in your collection I do I do and this obviously gives you 400 about 400 to 450 shots from the air bottle um these are regulated as well so they cons y of your shots are going to

Be much much better what they point out about 11 and A2 they’re all roughly around 11.3 11.4 11.6 again depending on the weight of the pet you’re using um these have a mega mag of about 34 rounds depending on 22 or the 177 you get a

Little bit more shots oh sorry uh a little bit more shots on the magazine on the 177 than than you do on the two two adjustable power I mean this is like quite State art gun isn’t it very modern very very very light and very pointable

Very easy to shoot you know what very smoo as well I have this exact gun at home and I’ll tell you what I’ve got I have a a parv night vision on top so I can go out in the pitch black and I mean pitch black and see put a Target up at

Like 30 yards and I can literally shoot the tops off a match heads I mean they are they really are you know beautifully made and um yeah nice bit of Swedish kit and then we do the shorter version as well which has a smaller bottle comp is

Loaded on the side there you have a a lever just put it Forward uh that’s I’m going to fire that now so point it downwards then there you go very quiet as well and that you might not have even heard that that’s how quiet they are with a silencer

On that what’s the price of that 184 three yeah they’re not cheap no they are not but you know but you get a huge I mean to go out and shoot for I don’t know with 450 shots you certainly can go out you know for most day and pretty

Much all night with that if you really wanted to so and I mean if you’re hunting you’re never going to get that amount and these are not too heavy really to walk around with as well I mean if you’re walking around with that all day it’s it’s nice it’s it is very

Very nice the Huntsman Regal is it the Regal it looks like it’s had a bit change this is the r so this is a slightly newer version um comes with a side lever whether I think the one that you had had the action again lovely Walnut stock um beautiful extrem English

English made by day state so again lovely bit of wood I have the slightly older version so instead of having the side lever I have a bolt action which is back here um but essentially they’re pretty much the same gun again this is pet on pet on pet

Accuracy um really beautiful bit of Kit not very traditional looking that’s really what the classic a classic style really classic yeah and uh you know a decent weight as well even when you put a nice scope on it it’s still manageable you know a lovely thing that’s quite a

Nice Ro you know to shoot on a bench as well if you wanted to all freestanding uh let’s go a little bit more modern now I’ve got me eyes on this this is especially for Paul I got this out for today especially it matches his this is not trainers and his hoodie as

Well today it’s not actually a mic that I’ve come across before yeah these are Checkers of vacuum made okay and but made by Air Max um they have a Czech vacuum barel inside again PCP so you fill them with the air not a spring or anything like that but absolutely

Adjustable cheap piece this slides up and down very very smooth to [ __ ] and um very light extremely quiet safety on it uh yeah I mean what’s the shot count on some you’re looking at about probably about 120 to 150 shots that sort of thing depending CU they do two they do a

Compact version of that with a smaller cylinder as well okay so but again you know very light very nice to carry I would imagine accuracy on something like this it’s a got a a check Barrel so CF Barrel so really very very nice what’s the price of something like that uh

You’re looking about $4.99 I’m just going to double check for you uh as she I’ve got that wrong 1750 17750 said to do a shorter one as well yeah a compact version yeah the shot Count’s going to obviously drop then it is cuz you’ve got slightly smaller cylinder yeah beautiful

Well I think that you know physically at least that’s my favorite at the moment from from a looks Viewpoint um will it be one of my favorites I’d particularly recommend to you guys at the end we’ll have to wait and see I’ll put that my back the trouble is

There’s so many in there I’ve been here a couple of hours and haven’t stopped looking this was the uh slightly shorter version but this has the actual carbon bottle so again more shock count yeah um but very clever with this one you can fold

The oh wow fold the stock so it can go into a small backpack yeah now that is a smart be kit again same all same action is just changing the way obviously with the bottle to the cylinder yeah very light again yeah I mean this is what does that come in any

Other color you can have yeah you can we can do them in orange blue red so we could just change the grip yeah and the top job done that is a crazy bit of Kit what’s the price of that I love this uh they are roughly 1450 those ones now that that is

Nice again dead accurate old imagine yeah again with the c barrel all these guns they really it’s what you feel what feels what feels nice I suppose it’s like a watch pole it’s what feels nice on the wrist and that’s really and again if you miss with it it’s your fault not

The gun yeah nine Sound out of 10 beautiful that is cool right now for a single shot so for a really like an hft for hunterfield target shooting this is an air arm so going back to airarms the English May rifle again a lovely laminate stock um but it is just a

Single single pet so this is really a Target Sho dedicated you can tell by the the trigger as well very very light trigger very very light trigger but again balance is very very nice adjustable cheap piece but again a popular popular this this would be for

Someone that gets out and does a real you know almost professional grade yeah definitely yeah competition shooting competition shooting is where you want to be so the trigger is like you said I would imagine extremely light if you only got to touch it if you [ __ ] the rle but point it downwards and

Style absolutely fantastic you got your side Le on here which is really like kind of quite I hope you can see that guys it’s like quite military looking you pull it back and then you’re ready to go got the safety on where’s the safety is that the safety there

Y there you go bit of a b to that so it does need a silencer yeah for no silen on that as it stands um does the stock adjust at all you can up and down that way and then you can move that but again an absolutely fabulous bit of Kit if

You’re out hunting at the range or whatever you’re not going to miss a thing with this got like a carbon fiber type shroud on the end and these come in two sizes as well this is The Ghost and there’s a ghost plus which means you get the longer slightly longer bowel and

Italian made stock Italian yeah Manelli is it a Manelli stock I think it is yeah I mean they don’t really get to look any better than this and the the onboard Electronics you’re almost cheating with something like well you are but it makes it very easy but it’s a be it is

Beautiful I think even if you even the action on that when you [ __ ] it again is very very smooth oh well yeah yeah but I mean we’re we’re at this you know we are at the the high high end now what we talking about about 2,300 or something like that but I think

When you compare it to you know what you can necessarily buy for 2,000 sh quid these days you are getting a work of art you are getting a work of art and there is a lot I mean these car bottles are are expensive you know they’re obviously

Designed to for high pressure um there’s a lot of work what goes into those they’re regulat so you’ve got as well so each shot again is very very consistent so it doesn’t drop off after 30 or 40 shots they’re consistently you know the pedet is going consistently all the time

Beautiful right this thing here I don’t even know what it is but I had a brief look at it earlier on let’s have a look at this because this is absolutely mind-blowing I’ve actually never seen one of these before uh in all the years that I’ve been around air guns and playing

With made gun and this is the sty um proex Scout uh the compact um so another ballp B just lift it up so people can see it and I mean an amazingly small relatively light bit kit um Austrian made again top top top quality but there’s an edge to this one that uh

We’re going to show you in a minute do you want to show the no you can have we go and it’s all ready to go and this one is a self indexing uh rifle so which means obviously on with a with a point of the trigger you can just keep pressing it

And it will circulate the 10 it’s a 10 shot magazine so C down there safety off I think you’re all ready to go off now a look yeah ready it’ll be off there we go so normally air rifle right you have one shot but with this

One you can just keep rolling them off as fast as you can pull the trigger top amazing I mean mindblowing be kit it is Top Again a lovely but again a lovely laminate stock and I think that really does when that shoulders into your body I think it is I

Mean this is going to be expensive right these ones are about 3,300 wow so it’s you know it is on the top end but but I’ve never ever these really are very very ACC yeah I’ve never ever fired or had in me hands even a self-indexing air

Rifle which makes this something can we just do that again is there enough in the bowl are we off so literally you are I mean that is that is crazy absolutely crazy that’s why it cost 3,300 quid but I mean this is as much fun as you can have where clo still on

Honestly it’s amazing so it has the same Italian stock as far as wood goes this is about as good as it gets right yeah again it’s the same as the red one so the italian-made stock look at this I hope the camer with the blue laminate it is absolutely beautiful so carbon fiber

Bottle this is the day state red wolf in the blue laminate with a carbon fiber shroud uh again you know amazing Palms well the grip on this is just you know your hand just it’s like it’s like putting your hand into a glove right this shoulders really nice yeah

Beautiful and something like this is going to cost you what’s it going to set you back you’re looking at about 2,300 and that again that’s got on board Electronics as well on board y it has on there you’ve got the digital display which is there I’m not sure if there is

A battery in this one but we’ll yeah so you can see now so what you’ve got let’s just check that up in front of the camera just see there like 200 bar hopefully you can see that and it tells yeah tells you your pressure what

The gun’s putting out Etc ET there we go that’s got a bit of a b without a silencer it does it’s obviously threaded then for a for a silencer on there as well which you will really need we one yeah absolutely yeah 1220 really for a good for a good

Silencer if you’re in your back Garden in fact especially if you’re in your back Garden really if your neighbors don’t hear it they’re not going to worry about it and it’s often the perception rather than the actual any danger that up upsets people so keep it quiet keep it keep it nice and

Stealth no problems at all um should we go backwards a little bit so if anyone’s watching this now thinking I want one I want one but two three grain is a bit out of my budget okay let me show a little bit more afford show me something that’s a lot more affordable

Okay something that uh Spencer could buy I hope to see Spencer down here one day do you know what he actually wanted to come but uh he’s very very busy at the moment right this I would say is our one of our bestselling rifles now this is £ 150 with the scope a

Bag and a tin pellets as well a scope a bag T pellets for 50 and that is full power break barrel wow it’s a single shot there’s going to be people out there now that will look at this and can you just pick up the vir Arch again for me the HW is

It the 90 that one yeah 99 so if you look at this this is a uh what make is this Remington Remington so it’s a m that a lot of people will be aware of particularly in America so this is a Remington um this is the German the German made

Vro and this is price on this one again 305 with no scope 305 no scope and this is again sorry £ 150 with the scope scope and a bag and a tin of pellets okay but I have to be honest with you I mean look if you were buying a gun for

You know your eight NY old to plink around in the back Garden absolutely nothing wrong with the Remington but for me I would always buy the German gun personally it is I mean but it’s the budget and then not everyone wants to spend that sort of money so we’re trying

To cater for both for both do in your opinion can you see the difference in quality when you look at the prices how do you feel about I think in the action and in the words you can see the difference um the smoothness how it

Cooks on the German one there has to be uh there has to be a difference but I sell a lot of those and for the money I mean even if we go to the next one which is the same price um which is again another Remington but with a synthetic

Stock and this does come with the scope as well just hold it up a little bit higher so the viewers can see it that’s it perfect this does come with the scope as well so that’s essentially the same gun is it exactly the same gun um but

With a synthetic stock and and these are 150 150 with a scope so again Great Value and as I say I’ll probably say our bestselling gun yeah because for for the money you just can’t go you just can’t go wrong you really you so if you’re
